After changing Feyenoord Rotterdam to the archrival Ajax, Steven Berghuis (29) has to contact the police and report. The reason: Angry Feyenoord fans sent numerous hate news to Dutch national player - including murder threats.
As reported to Telegraaf_, Berghuis's police in Amsterdam have passed a total of 19 pages of hate messages, death wishes and bad insults.
Berghuis was changed from FC Watford to Feyenoord in 2016 and developed into the absolute service provider within four years and has even been a captain since 2019. In 199 competitions, the right outside scored 87 goals and also prepared 64 results.
In the summer, record champion Ajax knocked on and grabbed the arch rivals from Rotterdam his leader for only about five million euros away. Ajax and Feyenoord has always combined a hostility comparable to the Revierderby in Germany between Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund.

AJAX Managing Director Edwin van der Sar condemned the attacks on Berghuis on the harshest. "Borders have been absolutely crossed," the Dutch goalkeeper legend scolded.
